Stretch marks are caused when the middle layer of skin called dermis is stretched beyond its elasticity level. Though it is more commonly known as a side effect of pregnancy there are many other conditions in which stretch marks are caused like sudden weight gain due to heavy and prolonged muscle training or obesity in general. The question is how to get rid of stretch marks without undergoing surgical process. There are several methods to get rid of stretch marks that are almost as effective as surgical process.

We will have a look at some of the methods which are popular and effective. One of the most basic techniques behind prevention of stretch marks is to increase the elasticity of your skin.   • · Vitamin E rich creams and gels are very effective for smooth skin. You can go for any skin cream that has vitamin E and apply it and massage the affected area gently. You can also consider breaking a vitamin e capsule and applying it directly on the stretch marks.
  • · Natural creams and gels that are available on the market are also known to work wonders for maintaining flawless skin. Trying a few of them is not a bad idea.

Finally I must say that prevention is better than cure therefore one must try to prevent stretch marks especially during pregnancy.
