Stretch marks are the after effects of physical changes like weight or muscle gain, pregnancy, obesity etc. During any of these changes as the additional weight or muscles need to be accommodated, skin starts stretching putting a lot of pressure on the connective tissues. When skin’s elasticity level reaches it limits or crosses it, small tears appear on the outer side of skin which is known as stretch marks. Can we eliminate or reduce stretch marks?

Yes we can definitely get rid of stretch marks by different methods. The most popular and quick method is laser therapy. This procedure is highly effective especially on new stretch marks which are still red in color.   • Vitamin A and C are also recommended for the health of skin. You will find a lot of vitamin c in citrus fruits like lemon and oranges. One orange a day works best from inside and keeps your skin flawless and shining. During pregnancy intake of Vitamin A should be limited therefore take expert guidance.
  • Food rich in zinc is very effective in maintaining the elasticity of skin therefore works well to reduce stretch marks.These are some of the home remedies that work wonders and help you reduce stretch marks without consulting your physician. Natural over the counter creams can also be tried.
