Though various kinds of treatment are popular for stretch marks removal, the effect and affordability of laser treatment for stretch marks is unquestionable.  Light amplification by stimulated emission of Radiation is known as laser in short form. This technique is used to cure many skin related disorders like acne, acne scars, and tattoos and of course stretch marks.

In some cases anesthesia is required while in a majority of cases pain is not very severe therefore quite bearable even without anesthesia. However immediately after the therapy some redness or bruising is felt on the skin which subsides gradually. Laser treatment despite being the most popular treatment for stretch marks does not guarantee the desired effect.  It depends a lot on the type of stretch marks you have. This is best advised by your dermatologist.  Make sure you consult an experienced dermatologist who can ascertain if laser technique is what you should go for.

Costs:

Laser treatment may cost you anywhere from $200 -500 per session. How many sessions you require depend upon your stretch marks and how responsive you are to the treatment? Usually 5-8 sessions are enough to get the desired results. I must say that there is no guarantee if you will get your stretch marks removed or get new scars resulting from laser therapy. This is the only downside of this otherwise safe method.

What you should take care of:

As mentioned above, experience and expertise is required for successful effects, you should make it a point not to go for cheap options. Just make sure that the expert you are going to be treated by has handled a few successful stretch marks removal cases.  Moreover check if the equipments to be used are latest ones.

Finally I must say that you should ascertain if you really need laser therapy. Have you already tried natural stretch marks removal creams that are quite effective? If you have already tried these cheaper methods laser therapy is what you should go for.
